I've been practicing Japanese martial arts off and on since I was a teenager, and then more consistently since 2003 when I began studying Aiki-Jujutsu and Japanese Yoga. I now practice (and teach) at the Sennin Foundation Center for Japanese Cultural Arts in Albany, CA. It's good exercise, emphasizes principles that are useful in daily life (relaxation, coordination, etc.), and gives me something to do on the weekends. Besides, sometimes it's actually kinda fun to get thrown around for an hour or two.
